Anger Management Group
A structured psychoeducational group designed to support emotional regulation, impulse control, communication, and intentional decision-making. Grounded in cognitive-behavioral and trauma-informed approaches, our program is open to both court-ordered and voluntary participants seeking long-term behavioral change.

Anchor Point Psychological Services is currently private pay only and does not accept insurance at this time.

Participation in services does not guarantee legal, employment, probationary, or court-related outcomes.
What are the program fees and enrollment details?
Pricing, scheduling and enrollment information will be discussed during consultation.
Will you communicate with my attorney or probation officer?
Communication with attorneys, probation officers, employers, or other third parties requires appropriate written authorization.
Do you offer other therapy services?
Openings for individual, couples, and family therapy services are not available at this time.
Is the anger management group court-approved?
Clients are responsible for confirming specific court or legal requirements.
How do I enroll?

What if my court requires specific forms?
Participants are responsible for verifying documentation requirements prior to enrollment with the referring agency or court.

Step 2: Screening & Consultation
Prospective participants may be contacted for additional screening and review of program expectations.
Step 3: Intake Documentation
Required intake, consent, and policy forms must be completed prior to beginning services.
Step 4: Enrollment Confirmation
Eligible participants will receive enrollment confirmation, client portal access and group log in information.
Enrollment is subject to clinical appropriateness, program availability, and completion of required documentation and payment.
About Dr. Townsend
Dr. Townsend is a licensed clinical psychologist in California and Iowa and a credentialed Health Service Psychologist through the National Register of Health Service Psychologists.
She completed her doctoral, internship, and postdoctoral training through APA-accredited programs and has been recognized for academic excellence, clinical leadership, research, and multicultural advocacy. Her professional experience includes work in Veterans Affairs, community mental health, schools, private practice, and court-involved settings.
Dr. Townsend has experience working with veterans, system-involved youth, court-mandated participants, and individuals navigating trauma, depression, anxiety, chronic stress, eating disorders, chronic pain, and other behavioral health concerns. She also has extensive experience facilitating therapeutic and psychoeducational groups across diverse populations.
Dr. Townsend incorporates faith-informed approaches into psychotherapy when aligned with client preferences and treatment goals. Her approach integrates evidence-based care, practical skill development, accountability, and compassionate support to promote meaningful and sustainable change.
